Ralston Schools Warn Parents of Attempted Abduction

Ralston, NE- Ralston police are investigating the attempted abduction of a teenage boy.

It happened while the boy walked home from school Wednesday in the area of 83rd and Q.

A man pulled up alongside the 15-year-old, asked him if he needed a ride and where he lived.  He also as a "sexually explicit question, according to Ralston police.

The incident happened near Seymour Elementary and Ralston Middle School.

Police say the man is Hispanic, in his late 30s or early 40s.  He had pock marks on his face and medium-length hair.  The car he was driving is distinctive.  It's a charcoal gray or black convertible, possible a Pontiac Sunbird or Sunfire.  The car has distinctive rims, along with rust on the bottom right door and body putty around the front wheel well and on the right quarter panel.

If you know who this man is, call police at 331-1786.

A letter went home to parents making them aware of the situation and urging them talk to their children about walking home with a buddy.
