LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A Lancaster County jury has found for a Lincoln couple who sued Wells Fargo Bank and a bank employee for the loss of thousands of dollars.

The district court jury found Wednesday that the bank should pay Raymond and Vera Beach $63,000.

The Beaches sued the bank and former Wells Fargo personal banker Will Morris Jr., accusing Morris of fraudulently converting more than $91,000 of their money for his personal use.

The couple's attorney, Chad Bowman of Lincoln, said Raymond Beach went to the bank for help balancing his checkbook and that Morris used that opportunity to take from the Beaches.

Donald Pavelka, the attorney for Morris and the bank, argued that Raymond Beach's finances were a mess and that Morris simply helped Beach pay off his debts.
