BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - Some people who lost electricity during Monday's snowstorm in southeast Nebraska could remain in the dark for another couple days.
About 925 customers of the Omaha, Norris and Nebraska public power districts still lacked electricity Wednesday morning. OPPD officials say they hope to restore power to their 550 customers by Thursday night as long as crews don't encounter any additional problems or poor weather.
Norris officials say it's too soon to say when power will be restored to their 350 customers without power. At the height of the outages, more than 6,000 customers lost power. Up to 8 inches of heavy, wet snow fell on the southeast corner of the state.
