Omaha, NE- The Douglas County Health Department has announced two more H1N1 vaccination clinics at high schools later this month.

A clinic will be held at Bennington High School, 166th and Bennington Road, on Wednesday, Nov. 18. Another clinic is planned for Millard North High School at 144th and Pacific Streets on Monday, Nov. 23. Both clinics will operate from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m.

In addition, a clinic is planned today at Benson High School, 52nd and Maple Streets, and on Saturday at Omaha Civic Auditorium, 1804 Capitol Avenue. The Health Department will potentially hold an H1N1 clinic at every high school in the county, depending on building and vaccine availability.

Only the CDC’s designated target groups will be served at these clinics. Those are: Pregnant women, children from six months through 24 years of age, people who live with or care for children younger than six months of age, people between the ages of 25 and 64 years with chronic health conditions that put them in danger of complications, as well as healthcare and emergency services personnel.

The clinic will cease operations at 8:30 p.m. The clinic’s staff will monitor the lines and notify people at least an hour before closing if they can expect to be vaccinated.

Health officials ask that you have a consent form filled out in advance.  You can get that form at the Douglas County Health Department's website.  You'll find a link on the Action 3 News home page.  Just look under News Links in the big blue box.
