RMAC names Lopers' Scott player of year

KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) - Nikki Scott of the University of Nebraska at Kearney has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's volleyball player of the year.

The 6-foot-2 senior middle blocker from Broken Bow also is academic player of the year.

UNK's Rick Squiers is the league's co-coach of the year along with Mesa State's Dave Fleming.

UNK sophomore middle blocker Jeri Walkowiak (wah-KO-vee-ak) of Grand Island was named to the All-RMAC second team and senior outside hitter Erica Burson of Gretna to the third team.
