OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - An Omaha man accused in the 2008 kidnapping and shooting of a woman is scheduled to make his first court appearance.
Rayshawn Abram is set to appear in Douglas County Court on Thursday afternoon.
The 28-year-old was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, witness tampering, conspiracy and a weapons count.
Court records don't list an attorney for Abram.
The charges stem from the June 2008 shooting of Sarah Schramm (SHRAM).
Police say they believe Abram and his relatives Jerrell and Jamaal Abram lured Schramm to a wooded area in northeast Omaha and shot her several times.
Police say they believe the men suspected she was involved in another relative's suicide. Detectives have cleared Schramm of any wrongdoing in the suicide.
