GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) - A 21-year-old Grand Island woman has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of pandering.
Ashley Spates made the plea on Thursday in Hall County District Court.
She was arrested this summer with 50-year-old Gregory Farmer, who faces pandering and child-abuse charges. The pair were accused of trying to recruit prostitutes, including two 17-year-old girls.
Spates' next court appearance is scheduled for December. Farmer's case is still pending.
