OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - More people are suing a northeastern Nebraska county, its sheriff and other officials alleging sexual harassment and other mistreatment.
A lawsuit was filed Monday in U.S. District Court on behalf of 8 men and women who work or had worked at the Dakota County Jail.
The lawsuit alleges Dakota County Sheriff James Wagner and Chief Deputy Rodney Herron sexually harassed employees, including pressuring female employees into sexual relationships. Male plaintiffs allege discrimination and other mistreatment.
At least two other lawsuits making similar allegations were filed earlier this year.
The Dakota County Attorney's Office referred questions to Lincoln attorney Vincent Valentino. He did not immediately respond to a phone message left Monday.
