Associated Press - October 23, 2009 9:15 AM ET

FREMONT, Neb. (AP) - A 28-year-old Hooper man has surrendered to face allegations that he forged prescriptions.

Fremont authorities say Robert Stanton had been sought on two counties' warrants that accused him of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.

Stanton is a registered nurse.

Fremont detective Matt Hultquist says the prescription fraud occurred at area pharmacies between July and September.

Stanton has posted $2,500 cash bond for a Dodge County warrant and a $2,500 cash bond for a warrant out of Cuming County.

Reached by phone at home on Friday, Stanton refused to make any comment.
