CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Medical examiners have confirmed that a body found in Cedar Rapids was that of missing University of Iowa student Jacques Similhomme.

Forensic pathologist Jonathan Thompson says Similhomme was positively identified Wednesday, but the cause of death has not been determined, pending the results of toxicology tests.

Volunteer searchers found Similhomme's body Saturday afternoon in thick brush where Prairie Creek empties into the Cedar River.

The 28-year-old from Cedar Rapids had been missing since September 28.
