WEEPING WATER, Neb. (AP) - An Omaha man was hurt when the small plane he was piloting crashed after taking off from an airport east of Weeping Water.
The Cass County sheriff's office says 57-year-old James Trammell contacted 911 after crashing in rural Weeping Water about 3:45 p.m. Sunday. He was flown by helicopter to an Omaha hospital with injuries to his head, ribs and ankle.
Trammell was en route to a north Omaha airport when he crashed.
