CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - Cedar Rapids authorities have found a body they believe is a 28-year-old man who's been missing since late September.
Police tell KGAN that the body was found in the Cedar River Saturday afternoon. They say they'll need dental records or DNA to positively identify him.
Officials say the body could be Jacques Similhomme, who was last seen on Sept. 29 in Coralville. His car had been found nearby, and his wallet was still inside.
His family has gathered in a park near the Cedar River.
Family members had been organizing searches for Similhomme since his disappearance. His father is a minister in Minnesota.
