LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - More than $5.4 million in state grants will help fund affordable-housing projects across Nebraska.

The grants come from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development through a combination of programs, including the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership and Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund. All the projects to be funded benefit low- and moderate-income households.

Housing projects that will benefit include those in Scottsbluff, Chadron, North Platte, McCook, Norfolk, Loup City, South Sioux City, Seward, Lincoln and Fairbury. Projects serving numerous counties will also benefit, as will the Santee Sioux Tribal Housing Authority.
