INLAND, Neb. (AP) - A rollover accident on a rural road in southern Nebraska has killed an 8-year-old girl and her dad.
Clay County authorities say 34-year-old Jesus Medina-Gonzalez and daughter Vanessa Medina were pronounced dead Sunday at the scene of the accident.
Sheriff Jeff Franklin says Medina-Gonzalez was driving his sport utility vehicle when he lost control on a gravel road and it rolled three times about 2 1/2 miles northwest of Inland.
Franklin says there were six related people in the SUV, all from Harvard. They were headed to a soccer game in Grand Island.
Medina-Gonzalez, his daughter and another girl were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the SUV.
The four others were treated for minor injuries at a Hastings hospital.
