Omaha, NE - The Omaha Yoga School is tucked in the middle of the Old Market. Inside, Kim Isherwood shows Action 3 News how easy it is to relax with hypnosis. Isherwood is one of three hypnotists at the school and relaxation is one of many benefits her clients walk away with. Some use hypnosis for weight loss, others to stop smoking. Isherwood's business partner is Carly Halleen Cummings.
"The only question we are really concerned with is do you want to quit smoking? We have people that come in here and we talk to them for ten minutes and we find out that maybe their wife sent them or their husband sent them or their daughter."
Carly tells Action 3 News the only way hypnosis will work, is if you want it to.
"A lot of different people come in and you just have to be a sane person to experience hypnosis. You don't have to have a certain type of personality. You just have to be open, willing and ready for an adventure."
Believe it or not, the city may be helping with that adventure. The smoking ban is pushing smokers to snuff out their habit. A move, Carly tells Action 3 News, helps her school's cause.
The Omaha Yoga School also offers hypnosis and yoga rolled into one. It's called hyp-yoga.
