Des Moines, IA - FEMA has agreed to pull mobile homes out of Iowa after mold was discovered in some of the emergency homes.
Lt. Governor Patty Judge complained about the danger, telling FEMA to move families into safer temporary housing, "I am extremely concerned about this situation. Protecting the health and safety of Iowa families is Governor Culver's and my number one priority," said Judge.
Governor Chet Culver asked FEMA to bring trailers into Iowa for families flooded out of their homes last month. Mold was discovered in some of the trailers near the water heater.
FEMA has agreed to test the trailer homes for mold, move affected trailers out of the state and provide new temporary housing to families.
