Near Plattsmouth, NE - Thursday morning the Salvation Army loaded up 200 cleaning kits headed to Norfolk, an area hit hard by the recent flooding. The business, "Two Men and a Truck" donated a rig to carry the supplies. The Salvation Army Director for the Gene Eppley Camp says this is a good start and they may end up sending more kits and supplies to the Norfolk area.
You can help flood victims closer to the metro get back on their feet. Action 3 News and Star 104.5 are joining forces to help the Salvation Army. They need buckets, cleaning brushes, safety glasses, work gloves, mops and disinfectant cleaner. You can drop them off at the Action 3 News Studios at 108th and Mockingbird Drive or the Salvation Army's headquarters here in Omaha at 36th and Cuming. Of course, the Salvation Army will also take monetary donations.
