CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A Cirque Du Soleil (CIRK' duh solay) employee has been found dead in his hotel room in Cedar Rapids.
Renee-Claude Menard, a Cirque Du Soleil spokesperson, says the man worked with the traveling show. It wasn't immediately clear what his role with the show was.
Menard says workers are awaiting results of an autopsy. He says it doesn't appear that the death was suspicious or that anyone else is in danger.
Employees with the Crowne Plaza Hotel called police Friday afternoon after being alerted that a Cirque Du Soleil staffer hadn't reported for work.
Police haven't released the man's name.
Cirque Du Soleil's "Alegria" show is at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids through Sunday.
