Bellevue, NE - A little girl is recovering after a car rolled over her on Sunday afternoon. It happened at 26th and Whiteman, just west of Offutt Air Force Base.
Sarpy County Sheriff's investigators tell Action 3 News that the girl was skateboarding, when she rolled into an intersection. She hit the side of a passing car. When she fell off from her skateboard, the car's back wheel ran over her leg.
Paramedics took her to a hospital with a compound fracture to her leg. It is a bad break, but we're told she should be okay.
Deputies are not citing the driver of the car. They say high snow piles blocked the driver's view of the street, and they could not have avoided the accident.
