LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Former Nebraska football player Phillip Dillard has been fined $50 for driving on a suspended license.
The 23-year-old also must pay $48 in court costs.
Court records say Dillard was stopped Sept. 2 by a Lincoln officer. The officer saw Dillard hit a median while making a right turn and saw Dillard using his cell phone while driving.
The officer learned that Dillard's Oklahoma driver's license had been suspended, so Dillard was cited for driving under suspension and negligent driving.
Dillard missed an October court date, which led to a failure-to-appear charge.
Dillard pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license, so prosecutors dropped the other two charges.
Dillard, a linebacker, just finished his senior season with the Huskers.
