Omaha, NE - Several local hair salons are chipping in to help a woman battling cancer.

Unique Image Salon, JB's Beauty Salon, and Gossip Beauty Salon are donating a portion of this weekend's proceeds to Doris Haskin.

Doris was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. She went through chemo and was in remission until recently when the cancer came back. Friends and family at the hair salons say she's a strong woman not ready to quite fighting but she needs help with her mounting medical bills.

The hair salons will be throwing Doris another fundraiser dinner Sunday. It's open to the public.

They'll have baked and fried chicken dinners available at Lothrop Social Hall at 3232 North 24th Street from 2pm to 5pm. Raffle tickets for prizes will also be available.
