LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Lancaster Event Center manager says Lincoln will host the Women's Pro Rodeo Association World Finals in 2010 and '11.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports that the event attracts 300 to 400 competitors and is expected to have a $3 million economic impact on Lincoln each year.
Event center manager Ron Snover said the rodeo association has already booked 500 horse stalls and every building on the grounds for the Oct. 11-17 rodeo.
Snover said it helped Lincoln's cause that many of the women on the rodeo circuit have visited the city for national barrel racing events.
