OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - The company that runs Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha has promoted the hospital's interim boss to CEO.

Tenet Healthcare Corporation recently announced that Gary Honts would be Creighton's permanent chief executive. Honts has led the hospital on an interim basis since May.

Tenet's Jeffery Flocken says Honts is a seasoned health care executive with the right skills for the job.

Honts will oversee Creighton's 334-bed hospital.
