Soldiers Return Home
Omaha, NE -- It's been a busy week for troops glad to be home from Iraq tonight.  Their journey home to Omaha took them through Fort Leonard, Missouri.  Tonight we learn it could just as easily been Fort Hood, Texas.

The 540th military police battalion served in Iraq for nearly a year. Arriving home was the most anticipated part of their tour.

"Just sitting on the bus you know, wondering how it was going to be to see family and friends again so it's great," says SGT Bethany Davis, 540 Military Police Battalion.

While this homecoming is happy, the knowledge of the massacre at Fort Hood makes it bitter sweet.

"We all were around the TV yesterday, our brother at arms at Fort Hood , we wish them the best and I was glad just to be home," CAPT James Geisler, 540 Military Police Battalion.

Along with family and friends, the soldiers were also greeted by the Patriot Guard and their Harleys. It's becoming a common sight at these homecomings.
