Omaha Man Arrested After Pot Grow Ignites Home

IRWIN, Iowa (AP) - An Omaha man faces felony drug charges after fire fighters called to a blaze found a marijuana growing operation inside a home in western Iowa.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said fire fighters responded Monday to a two-story home partially on fire in the city of Irwin when they found the suspected marijuana growing operation inside.

Authorities say 57-year old Michael Miller faces felony charges including manufacturing a controlled substance. Officials say Miller is held in the Shelby County jail on $10,000 bond. Authorities say they are investigating the incident.
