OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - One Omaha television station is now broadcasting its signal in a format that can be received by certain cell phones and handheld devices.
WOWT started broadcasting the signal in late July as part of a pilot test launched by its parent company, Gray Television.
Gray's Jim Ocon says any handheld electronic device with an antenna chip should be able to receive the signal, but few cell phones are made with the chips now.
The signal should be able to be seen for free throughout WOWT's broadcast coverage area.
